Bethel #4 was chartered on October 2, 1923. Their meeting places included Rose Hill Masonic Temple and Wellston Masonic Temple. Bethel Guardians of Bethel #4 included: Mom Knickmeyer, 1923-29, Bertha Key, 1929-1960, Helen Balzer, 1960-1968, Helen Erwin, 1969-1971, Betty Wardlaw, 1971-1974, Myra Deere, 1974-1982, Sue Meiner, 1982, Pattie Reposo, 1982-1984, Carolyn Samuels, 1984-1985, Karin Bohn, 1999-2003, Anna Broyles, 2003-2005, Pat McCarthy, 2005-2010 and Ann Moore, 2010-Present. Associate Bethel Guardians of Bethel #4 have included Frost Erwin, 1969-1973, Bill Vandevort, Ken Schauss, Dick Smith, 1999-2005, Darrell Ditto, 2005-2009 and Rick Oloteo, 2009-2010 In 1981, Bethel #4 had over 50 girls at Mini-Session in Hannibal when Kristi Kasten was Honored. Attendance and membership was at a peak. In 1983, membership dropped, and even though major attempts were made at inviting new members, membership continued to fall. With sadness and much unhappiness, Bethel #4 was closed in 1985. However, it was with great joy and happiness that the Bethel was re-instituted on December 6, 1999. Bethel #4 once again takes her place alongside the Bethels of Missouri. They once again meet at Rose Hill Masonic Temple.
