Bethel #15 was instituted in Sedalia, Missouri, on November 11, 1926, and chartered June 11, 1927. There were 62 names on the charter. The first Honored Queen was Jonaphine Luckett. The first Guardian was Mrs. Katy Blanchard, and Mr. A.M. Harlan was the first Associate Bethel Guardian. Bethels #1, #3, #6, #7, and #20 played an important part in the Bethels growth. Ann Brown served as Bethel Guardian for five years. During the years Mrs. Brown served as Bethel Guardian, Bethel #15 was the Bethel in the state with a membership of over 200.
