In early Jan I went to Florida to visit 4 of their Bethels and lay on the warm beach, since that was when we were having all of that snow and record lows. While I was there I got to go to Disney world, and the next morning I went into the hospital with Kidney stones and spend the next 3 days there. The day before we left for home I did get to go to 1 Bethel meeting, so that was nice. Once home I had surgery to break the stones up and then a follow up surgery. I am finally all better, and drinking so many glasses of water a day it is ridiculous. It was such a nice surprise to hear from Jobies from all over. I am really looking forward to seeing all of you again at Supreme. |

On Dec. 21 1998 at about 4:30 p.m. I lost my father. We buried him on Dec. 24. 1998. Even though I live 2 hrs. away from my parents home and even after losing my Mother-inlaw little over 3 years ago, it still isn't easy during the Holidays. I was only able to visit my parents 3 times a year due to working, son in DeMolay and a daughter in Job's Daughters. Yes I even called them when I was not able to visit, but that still doesn't help now. Take this time through this season and all year long, not just when you feel like it and really let your family know your there and you care and you love them, whether you see them, phone them, or live with them. Don't tell yourself this won't happen to you, someday it will. My mother-inlaw I saw more than my own parents, but it still doesn't matter. The day she died I just talked to her hours before she died. Really express yourself, you never know when it will happen to you. Don't take life for granted. When I received the phone call I just got home from work, started to pick up the phone to call to let them know when we were coming down and got the shock of my life. Don't let another day go by. Tell your family-parents-anyone you care about how you feel. |
