Ireally enjoyed the pictures of Supreme, as I am only 50 miles from Boise, and had planned to go to a couple meeting, but July happened and I didn't get there. The pictures were great and I hope you enjoyed your visit to Idaho. All three of my daughters have been in Jobies and one is a PHQ and now an Eastern Star as I am. I hope that those of you who can, will join Star when you reach 18, as it can be just as much fun. Keep up the good work you do. You education in Jobies will take you far and when you get to be a grandmother like I am, you will be able to speak in front of groups, and take charge because of the experice you gain here. I don't know how it is now, but when I was a member, most girls dropped out when they thought they were too old to be elected to the line, but I stayed in and never regretted it. My name is Morgan Tagler and recently took my majority at grand this last year after being Honored Queen to bethel #4 Deadwood and Bethel #16 in Spearfish. I was countless Representatives during my time in Job's but the greatest reward I received was spending time with my little angels. Now I am guardian secretary to my bethel #4 in Deadwood. Deadwood is a very progressive bethel, we have two new intiates coming in, hold countless fund raisers, such as kiddi carnivals and selling greenery around Christmastime; our very own Past Bethel Guardian is now the Grand Guardian to the state of South Dakota--Barb Hansen. My sister Shawna was Miss South Dakota Congeniality for 1999-2000, and my little jobie, Adran Pfarr, is our Spirit Ambassador. I have many friends in other bethels as well. My very best friend in the world from Bethel #16 in Spearfish was the Miss South Dakota Job's Daughter/Congeniality for 1998-1999--Courtney Humphreys. Her and I graduated together and were born three days apart (that's how close we are). We both adore our good friend Amber Volner who was Miss International Job's Daughter 1997-1998( i think that's the right year). Amber is currently guardian of her home bethel in Lead, which is but a few miles from Deadwood and Spearfish. WE are, or try to be, very close with the other bethels, but despite our titles and the pomp and circumstance that can be sort of intimidating, we genuinely love each other. This is one advantage I enjoy most about this organization. I was truely heartbroken to hear of Susie Holmes' SBHQ death. Although I never knew her, until I visited her home page, she seems a remarkable person and the epitome of what Job's Daughters is about. I congratulate you Missouri Job's Daughters on your web site--very nice. I would love to hear about the Missouri Job's Daughters if any or all of you would like to send me some e-mails telling me about your bethels, I would love to hear from you. (so would my girls) And finally, being that I'm rarely serious for very long, let me clear up a few things that we South Dakotans are asked all the time: no, fargo is not in South Dakota; yes, North Dakota is above South Dakota; yes, we have running water (had that for some time); yes, we have vehicles; yes, we still ride horses, but mostly just for fun and not to take ma and pa to town; no, mount rushmore is located in South Dakota, not Washington d.c. or Washington state; ok (just a little humor for ya'll) hope hear from you jobies soon and it was nice visiting your web site.
