I have a limited supply. Mom Frakes Posted Monday, 5/26/2008 (1:15 p.m.): This note comes from Dad Craig Stratmann, VAGG, regarding a variety of items: To Missouri Job's Daughters and adults Just wanted to take a few moments to let everyone know that I arrived at my deployed location about 2 weeks ago and have settled into my new digs. Although they are quite old, they will make for a nice place to reside until my return in September. We are working 6 days a week, 10 hour days (sometimes longer); ensuring that the quality of life for our fellow service members are met. For those that are unaware, I am a USAF Utilities System technician (fancy words for Plumber). As we traditionally observe Memorial Day this weekend, with family gatherings and bar-be-ques, please take a moment to remember those that have given their lives, so that we can enjoy our Freedom. Memorial Day weekend begins what we call the "101 Critical Days of Summer"; please be careful traveling and enjoying your favorite recreational activities during the summer. Enjoy yourselves, but please do it safely! and use all recommended equipment, which is designed to protect you. Missouri Bethels will soon be having their Installations. Please show your support to your "Sisters", by attending. I extend my congratulations to the newly elected officers and look forward to working with you upon my return. Congratulations to Bethel UD, who will receive their official charter at their Official Visit next weekend. Keep growing Bethel #66!!!! Once there we will get a room number and a phone number as well. I am pleased that she is going to this place. The wife of one of the Chiefs on her base, is the director of admissions and it is the closest one to her base so her many friends will be able to visit, hopefully often. Horizon

Posted Monday, 5/19/2008 (10:35 p.m.): This note comes from Momma Donna Goede, GG, with an update on her daughter, Kelly, PHQ #43: I got my hands on Kelly's computer so here is an update: The US Coast Guard has been awesome, from help with the medical care to just offering every kind of assistance and lots of visits. The hospital is very large...much like Barnes and is using some high tech modern stuff. Now for Kelly. She is is great spirits...actually a bit outspoken, especially with some of the nurses and therapists that hurt her in what they are doing.....she has been up to a wheel chair a couple of times...though it is quite and ordeal. The insurance company has totaled the bike...no big surprise. The last surgery went really well....better than we hoped. She will be in for at least two more surgeries but there hasn't been anymore talk of her losing the foot...a really good thing, thanks for the many prayers I am sure they have helped. She will be moving in the next couple of days to a rehabilitation center in Daytona Beach...for many weeks of recovery and leading up to the next surgery. Thanks for all the thoughts, notes and most of all prayers...keep them coming.
