This note comes from Mom Nancy Knarr, GG, regarding Missouri's recent Grand Session:

I want to thank everyone for a wonderful Installation and many offers of help. It was exciting to see so many girls in competitions and working together to finish. The Sat. activity was awesome, I wish I could have been there. Daniella has a great year planned for all the girls in the State, we will need everyone's help in trying to spread Job's Daughters across our state, please say yes when she gives you a call.

Thanks to my Grand Officers and Past Grands for stepping in when needed. You set a wonderful example for all adults involved in our Bethels. Remember to sell those ticket and pins to help our charities, HIKE - USO.  I have changed my hat for the next few days, I am now the Mother of the Bride and will be sewing a finishing last minute project. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July.

Love,
Mom Nancy

This note comes from Dad Craig Stratmann, VAGG, regarding Grand Session:

As I post this message, I know that many last minute preparations for Grand Session are being made.

First, I want to extend 'good wishes' to all the participants in the Ritual, Arts & Crafts, and Performing Art competitions. I know that each of you have put time into making these meaningful to yourselves and I wish you the best of luck. Remember that each of you are a winner regardless of a trophy or a ribbon. It's what's inside of each of you that makes you special and truly counts.

Second, to those Daughters selected or elected at the Grand Bethel meeting, congratulations on your new offices. Please remember the obligation you will take at Installation and remember that you are instrumental in keeping this organization strong and growing not only in Missouri, but throughout the Order.

To the Bethels that have sent me cards and packages, THANK YOU for your thoughtfulness and well wishes. They mean a lot to me and make the days brighter. I look forward to my return and upon my election, assuming my duties as your Associate Grand Guardian.

Enjoy Grand Session and be sure to enjoy the sisterhood that makes this Order so special!

Dad Craig, VAGG

This note comes from Momma Donna Goede, GG, regarding Grand Session:

Bethel Guardians,

With just a few days until we all leave for Grand Session I had a couple of reminders.....

1. Don't forget your Bethel's promotion board...Mom Cindy will want to put them on display!

2. Be sure your banner carrier is lined up 15 minutes before the Formal Banquet...they are to wear their dress/formal and be in Bethel numerical order. Mom Cindy Brock and Mom Jolyene Nelson will assist with the line up. The Parade of banners will be at the very beginning of the banquet.

3. Every Bethel will be called and their banner presented and then posted in the room, so don't forget the stand for yours!

4. "I get served first" girls will be first served at every meal and will have a special table to eat at the entire weekend.

I hope everyone is excited about our session and that all enjoy the many festivities...see everyone soon! Good luck to all who are competing on Thursday!

Love, Momma Donna

This note comes from Dad Ashley Underwood, 2011 Supreme Session Arrangements Committee Co-Chair, regarding the Pizza Party Thursday Night at Grand Session:

Hey everybody, we have heard from 15 Bethels with their totals for the Pizza Party (Bethels #1, 4, 5, 12, 32, 33, 40, 43, 44, 47, 48, 49, 50, 58, and 60).  Those will be the Bethels that will be served first.  While we will have a few extra pizzas, it is very possible that we will not have enough for everyone from the Bethels that did not respond.  (The original e-mail went out on June 6, and the original deadline was this past Monday, and then was extended to yesterday.  Plus there has been a flyer posted on the Special Events Page since June 6)  Our order will be going in sometime after 4:00 p.m. today (not much after as I am going to see Chicago and the Doobie Brothers this evening).  The pizza parlor asked us to make this order early so that they might have enough time to order the extra supplies necessary to fill our order without too much of an effect on their regular business.  I will take any additional orders up until 4:00 today.  Even if your order is zero, please let me know that as well as it would really help in the planning.  My e-mail address is ashleypagg@aol.com.  Thank you for your participation.

Ashley Underwood, 2011 SAC Co-Chair

Ashley,

I was looking at the Supreme web site and noticed that a full page of constitution and bylaws is available there, what a great thing for those of us who have trouble seeing the small print in the little book and have trouble fighting those small pages. With Grand coming up some of our people might want to print themselves a copy.

Thanks for getting this out on the Supreme web page

See you soon.

This note comes from Jaclyn Wallace, Grand Bethel Gab Editor, regarding the next issue:

It's Grand Bethel Gab Time Again!!!

Hello everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the nice summer weather. Grand Session is approaching quickly, and we would love to have all of the Bethels contribute to this issue of the Gab. Please take a few minutes to write some quick words about your Bethel. Since it is Installation time, almost all of the Bethels will be busy with their own, however, instead of reading about 20 Installations, I thought it would be neat if each Bethel shared a fun fact about the Bethel itself and/or the members, and some fun activities as well as some community service work the girls have done. Please help to make this an exciting issue of the Grand Bethel Gab. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me at jwallace4215@hotmail.com. The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 20th. Thanks!

This note comes from mom Sandy Flanery, BG #33, regarding Tabi Teten, who broke her ankle:

Good afternoon! I received a phone call from Tabi Teten's Mom (Pam) and her Aunt Donna (Crabtree) yesterday to say that Tabi had broke her ankle on Saturday while playing in the park. She was excited to let her Aunt Donna know that her cast is purple (for Jobies). Tabi was worried that she would have to miss practice on Wednesday and Installation on Friday because she can't stand on her crutches for very long as her foot starts to swell. They were gonna look for a wheel-chair. I said, "No way, would she have to miss the practice and the Installation." We have a wheel-chair for her to use on Wednesday and on Friday so she will be able to be a part of the the installation and be installed into her new station.

If you get a chance...and would like to... drop a card or note to Tabi with wishes of a speedy recovery. Please contact me for her address. She goes to the Orthopedic doctor today so we'll have more news about her recovery on Wednesday at practice.

Be safe this summer!

TTYS,
Mom Sandy

Again we thank those who have turned your names for the Necrology ceremony.

If your Necrology Representative is your HQ or a PHQ, we ask that they wear the HQ regalia. If your representative is a Jr. or Sr. Princess, we ask that they wear their appropriate Princess regalia. If your representative is another officer, we ask that she wear normal Bethel regalia.

Please be sure to check the Grand Session Schedule in regards to not only Necrology Practice but all practices in general. We ask that daughters please be on time.

For Necrology, if your representative is in a competition at rehearsal time, please have another daughter sub in so they can relay the information to the appropriate daughter once she arrives.

Once again, Kim Underwood, BG will be running the Necrology rehearsal and Stephanie Schonaerts, PHQ will be running the Bible Ceremony rehearsal. Regalia needed for the Bible Ceremony is their normal Bethel regalia with a white cord.

This note comes from Momma Donna Goede, GG, regarding Bethel #66:

Congratulations to Missouri's Baby Bethel!

On Sunday, June 1, 2008 Missouri's newest Bethel recieved their charter becoming Bethel # 66 of Lebanon, MO. What a fitting number for this Bethel that meets right along old Route 66! They were instituted on December 29, 2007 and have worked very hard. They have held three additional initiations and a Jobie to BEE Ceremony and the original members have all turned in their Proficiency. They have sent their new by-laws to Jurisprudence for acceptance. This group has made quite a difference in their community already. They have worked with the DeMolay on a very successful blood drive, held a fund raiser for the humane society that is trying to get funds to build a new shelter and had several successful fund raisers for their Bethel Treasury. they also held a community HIKE for the JDI Charity--Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fund. They were able to attend Grand Bethel Mini Session and they are looking forward to their first Grand Session. Several members have indicated they have more friends that would like to join! Congratulations to this very enthusiastic group and thank you to the parents and the members of Laclede Lodge and Lebanon Eastern Star that support them!

Hi everyone--I am home and Kelly is well into her rehab in Daytona Beach. She loves getting mail so thank you to all who have sent cards and notes. For her address, please e-mail me.

She is doing as well as the doctors expect, in fact a bit better but has a really long road to full recovery. Physical Therapy is painful but she is working really hard. Thanks again for all the prayers and thoughts. We now have to hope for no infection or blood clot which could be devastating....she is so strong it is amazing how well she is getting around.

Thanks to those who made it to Lebanon today....we now have Bethel 66!
