Don't miss it! There may have been some misunderstanding about whether or not to make reservations to attend ... this notice is to clear up any doubts. =) Anyone planning to show up on Saturday, Sept. 26th @ Sedalia Masonic Lodge (Bethel 15) in Sedalia, MO at 0830 AM should RSVP to me so that we can ensure that the Trainer has enough printed material to do the training, enough application packets to hand out at the end of the day and to have an accurate headcount for Mom Donna Hooker to get lunch ordered. The only cost incurred on the day of training is the $5 for your lunch and the gas to make the trip to Sedalia. You will be given an application packet when the training class is over to take home with you and fill out then mail it along with your check to the Supreme Office in Papillion, NE. Registration begins at 0830 and the training will start @ 0900 sharp. Please don't be late. Remember that you must attend the entire training session to get credit for attending and to receive the CAV application. The class should conclude around 1600 hrs. (4pm). That being said... please send a message to sandy.flanery@yahoo.com if you plan to attend or if you know of anyone in your Bethel that needs to attend so that we can keep our list growing. Be sure to include a cell phone number and Bethel number. This will be the last CAV class planned in MO this year. If you have Council Members that haven't had their CAV training AND received their CAV card they will not be appointed to a Council or Helper position. Thanks in advance for your prompt attention and understanding of the importance of this training. As always, any questions ... please contact me. My info is in the Red GGC Directory.

Posted Thursday, 9/3/2009 (4:20 p.m.): This note comes from Mom Joleyne Nelson, Grand Guarding, regarding her recent fender bender: Hi All, I wanted to let you all know that Joshua and I were in a car accident this afternoon (9/2/2009). We are both okay - just a little shaken up. I think Joshua is scared that we are going to crash into another car. We were on our way home from day-care. I had stopped for a red light and then had a green light. I was started to pull into the intersection to to make a left hand turn and got hit in the front end of the car by a truck who was traveling south bound and didn't see the red light that he had. I didn't see the truck coming at all. Luckily the driver of the truck saw me (at the last minute) and slammed on his brakes and started to turn to the left, so he missed making impact on the drivers side of the car and ended up hitting the front end of the car - mainly on the passenger side. My passenger door doesn't open. I found that out, when I went to get my insurance card from the glove box. And of course, when you are looking for something (insurance) you can never find it. I had an old card - glad I didn't get a ticket for no current proof of insurance. My car was towed. I am hoping that the insurance will fix it. I don't think they (insurance) liked it that I have about 190,000 miles on it. It is a 2000 and it runs - I just put new tires on it in April!!. Anyway - we are both okay. I'll be working from home tomorrow (9/3/2009) because I don't have a car and Mack is out of town in San Diego, so his car is at the airport. Joleyne Posted Thursday, 9/3/2009 (3:30 p.m.): This note comes from Mom Karen Jordan, GS #49, regarding Tanja Short Orwig: We wanted to let everyone know that Bethel #49's adopted soldier, Tanja Orwig, is again being deployed and will be in the Middle East by September 10th. She expects to be deployed until sometime in December. So many of you who attended Amy Bush's reception were so touched and impressed by Tanja and her presentation that we thought you would want to know. Please keep Tanja and her family in your prayers and if you would like to email or correspond with her, please email me at bethel49mojdi@earthlink.net and I will be happy to provide you with her contact information. I know she would love to hear from all of her Job's Daughter friends. Mom Karen Jordan Posted Wednesday, 9/2/2009 (4:10 p.m.): This note comes from Mom Joleyne Nelson, Grand Guardian, regarding the recent Official Visits: Missouri Job's Daughters and Adults, Last Saturday morning Missouri's HIKE committee had the honor of making a HIKE presentation to a young boy and his family. Following the presentation, Bethel #4 kicked off the first Official Visit and they did a wonderful job. It was great to see so many girls and adults in attendance. On Sunday, a few of us traveled to Bethel #66 (Lebanon) for their Official Visit. Thank you to GBHQ Jennifer, Jr. Miss MO Amy, Tori D. and Casey D. from Bethel #36 for coming to helping the girls. Also in attendance was Dad Butch, AGG; Dad Joe Braun, GIG and Bethel #66's Deputy; Mom Shirley Bush, Grand 3rd Messenger; Mom Brenda Carpenter, Bethel 5 and Mack Nelson. Mom Joleyne Nelson, PHQ Posted Tuesday, 9/1/2009 (10:35 a.m.): This note comes from Caitlyn Washington, Grand Bethel Representative Co-Chairwoman regarding reports: Hey Grand Reps of Missouri! It's Caitlyn Washington. This term is already fully underway. Supreme has passed and so has the first Official Visit of the year. Don't forget to start sending letters to the jurisdictions that you are representing. remember that if you know someone that went to supreme they could have met someone from your jurisdiction which could help you get in contact with girls or adults from there. I met girls from my jurisdiction in Brazil and lots of other places :) so you will most likely be able to find someone. please do not let this get away from you. I know everyone is very busy with school, extracurricular activities, and Jobies, but please remember that you have to write a report on what you have learned and the more letters you send the more responses you'll receive. Thanks!
