This note comes from Miss Kim Underwood, Grand Guide, regarding the Spirit and Make a Difference Awards:

Hello all!

Hope your holiday was wonderful and spent with many friends and family!

This a reminder that the Fall Spirit Award and Make a Difference Awards are due soon. Please send them to me via e-mail or snail mail post-marked/date-stamped no later than December 31, 2009. All of our Honored Queens and Bethels are very deserving of these awards.

For the Spirit Award, please be sure to fill out each section and make sure all attachments needed are with the award. I don't want an Honored Queen to miss out because of a missed field or invite. I have received the following so far:

Bethel #12
Bethel #43

For the Make a Difference Award, this will need to be mailed as I know I don't have the proper printer to really show the outstanding work of our daughters. I have received the following so far:

Bethel #29
Bethel #43

If yours is in the mail or will be in the mail in the next few days please let me know so I can be on the lookout for it. You can also drop off the awards at my home or I can even arrange a time in the next few days to meet up with you.

If another person is working on these awards, please pass on the information.

Also just a reminder to everyone to be sure to send me any new initiates and send Linda Meunier any new Jobies-2-Bee. I know of a few Bethels that have initiated but I have not received anything.

You can send your completed awards to:

This note comes from Kelly Weber, SLALOC President, regarding the SLALOC HIKE the Highway:

Come HIKE the Highway with SLALOC on Sunday, December 6, 2009. We will meet at the Hampton/I-64 ramp at 1:30 pm. The group will walk the highway west to Tamm Avenue. Wear purple, bring Jobie banners and flags. We want to get a good group and take pictures. The event will be over by 2:30 pm so we can all hurry over to Bethel #19 for Brittany's initiation. Parking is free on the lot at St. Louis Community College and there are shuttle buses to take you to the Hampton/I-64 ramp. Look for the Jobies!
