Many thanks, Posted Sunday, 5/9/2010 (3:55 p.m.): This note comes from Colleen Vezeau, Grand Parents & Friends Club Chairperson, regarding the Club: Everyone: There are 11 days remaining to sign up or renew membership in the Grandparents and Friends Club for the 2009-2010 year. The 20th of May is the final day. I am already starting to get renewals for the 2010-2011 year. The Club was set up to help offset the Assessments for each Bethel. All money raised for becoming a member goes towards the Grand Guardian Council Budget for the year. If enough money is raised that is less money the Bethels will not have to pay. Not only does this help the Grand Guardians' Budget, it helps Bethels not to have an Assessment to pay. Also, Station charms. For all Bethel Council, parents and daughters. Anyone who is interested in buying a Bethel Station Charm, you can purchase these at any time throughout the year or at Grand Session as well. The cost is $16.00 each or priced as marked for Grand Bethel Charms or for an Adult pin/charm. Any Bethel or anyone interested in purchasing charms / pins - send me a list of what you need. I will have them ready for you with the cost and will make arrangements to get them to you. My e-mail address is on the Grandparents Page, or click on animallover62@sbcglobal.net. Please put in the subject line, either Grandparents if your contacting regarding the club or Charms for submitting an order in. Checks will need to be made out to Grand Guardian Council for both Charms and Grandparents on the bottom left of the check, please write what the check is for. This not only helps me with my reports to the Grand Guardian Council, but helps the Grand Secretary out with her work on incoming receipts.

I hope everyone has been traveling around and filling out their travel sheets. Please turn in all Travel sheets to me by June 16th. Also don't forget to be collecting quarters for quartermania! We would love to be able to give away more scholarships this year. Please turn in all quarters to me or a member of the GBC or the Grand Bethel table by Formal Banquet at Grand Session. At the Grand Bethel Meeting this year we will be performing a Majority Ceremony. Remember that it is really important for you to write a report to me. it was one of the things you absolutely had to do when you accepted the position. I was honored to attend and help with the presentation and pinning by his daughter Christy. His two son's Albert Jr. and Bennett presented him at the altar for tthe ceremony. Several Grandsons were also in attendance. Members of the Brentwood OES and former members of Bethel #31 attended and cheered him on.
