Hey there Missouri Job's Daughters, are you interested in becoming a member of the Missouri Daughter HIKE Committee?  Committee members can render assistance in many ways.  They can respond to questions that arise in our Missouri Bethels concerning HIKE.  They can act as liaison between the Daughters and the Bethel Guardian Councils, the Grand Guardian and/or the adult HIKE Coordinators.  They assist with the Mid-America HIKE and the Lincoln/Truman HIKE. The LT HIKE will be in the St. Louis, Missouri area this fall and the Mid America will be in the Kansas City area next spring. There is generally a table for HIKE at both Grand Session and Mini Session.

We may also be appointing Jr. Hike Committee members who will work with the Committee and the HIKE Coordinators as well as having specific fund-raising efforts. The Jr. Committee members will be Jobies to Bee ages 8-9 and younger members of Bethels ages 10-12. The HIKE Committee members will be ages 13 and older.

Duties of the State HIKE Daughter Coordinators (East/West) are:

  • To work with the Adult Eastern HIKE Coordinator in planning the Lincoln/Truman Hike
  • To work with the Adult Western HIKE Coordinator in planning the Mid-America Hike
  • To work with the Grand Guardian in planning events to benefit HIKE
  • To speak on HIKE at Bethel meetings / activities, speaking to get others motivated
  • To write HIKE articles for the Supreme News Exchange (SNE)
  • To be responsible for informing businesses and corporations about HIKE and solicit donations from those businesses and corporations
  • To be present and assist at HIKE presentations

Duties of the Daughter Hike Committee members are:

  • To assist the State HIKE Daughter Coordinators on any activities outlined above, as requested
