At our Supreme Visit in April, we presented Andy Rotter with a HIKE Award. Doc Howe, Eastern MO HIKE Coordinator, invited our HIKE Recipient to join us for the Lincoln-Truman HIKE at the Old Chain of Rock's Bridge. Andy's family had previous plans and could not attend but this didn't stop Andy from showing his appreciation by getting donations. How please we were to received a pledge sheet and $208 in donations. Below is a note from the family:

The "I Love You" sign
is used by the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fund (The HIKE Fund, Inc.) to represent how
the International Order of Job's Daughters has embraced the needs of hearing impaired
children. The HIKE Fund, Inc. has provided children with hearing assistive devices since
1986. If you know of a child who needs a hearing assistive device and is financially
unable to obtain assistance, please contact us.
The HIKE Fund Inc. is a non-profit charity incorporated under the laws of the state of Nebraska and registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt charity. It is administered by a Board of Directors composed of individuals in the fields of audiology, business, education, labor, law and medicine. The HIKE Fund Inc. has awarded many types of devices for the hearing impaired including: Hearing Aids, FM Systems, Closed Caption Converters, Tactile Units, Alerting Systems, and Specialized Sports Equipment.

2009-2010 Daughter HIKE Committee Application Form
Members of the Daughter HIKE Committee respond to questions that arise in our Missouri Bethels concerning HIKE. They act as liaisons between the Daughters and the Bethel Guardian Councils, the Grand Guardian and/or the adult HIKE Coordinators. They also assist with the Mid-America HIKE and the Lincoln/Truman HIKE. If you would like to be on the 2009-2010 Daughter HIKE Committee, here is your chance.
