At our Supreme Visit in April, we presented Andy Rotter with a HIKE Award. Doc Howe, Eastern MO HIKE Coordinator, invited our HIKE Recipient to join us for the Lincoln-Truman HIKE at the Old Chain of Rock's Bridge. Andy's family had previous plans and could not attend but this didn't stop Andy from showing his appreciation by getting donations. How please we were to received a pledge sheet and $208 in donations. Below is a note from the family:

The "I Love You" sign
is used by the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment Fund (The HIKE Fund, Inc.) to represent how
the International Order of Job's Daughters has embraced the needs of hearing impaired
children. The HIKE Fund, Inc. has provided children with hearing assistive devices since
1986. If you know of a child who needs a hearing assistive device and is financially
unable to obtain assistance, please contact us.
The HIKE Fund Inc. is a non-profit charity incorporated under the laws of the state of Nebraska and registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt charity. It is administered by a Board of Directors composed of individuals in the fields of audiology, business, education, labor, law and medicine. The HIKE Fund Inc. has awarded many types of devices for the hearing impaired including: Hearing Aids, FM Systems, Closed Caption Converters, Tactile Units, Alerting Systems, and Specialized Sports Equipment.

State HIKE Daughter Coordinators (East/West): |

| • Must be a Job's Daughter, 13-19 years of age or older | ||
|
• Will work with the Adult Eastern HIKE Coordinator in planning the Lincoln/Truman Hike |
||
|
• Will work with the Adult Western HIKE Coordinator in planning the Mid-America Hike |
||
|
• Will work with the Grand Guardian in planning events to benefit HIKE |
||
|
• Will speak on HIKE at Bethel meetings / activities, speaking to get others motivated |
||
|
• Will write HIKE articles for the Supreme News Exchange (SNE) |
||
|
• Will be responsible for informing businesses and corporations about HIKE and soliciting donations from those businesses and corporations |
||
|
• Will be present and assist at HIKE presentations |
||
|
Daughter Hike Committee members: |

| • Must be a Job's Daughter, 13 years of age or older | ||
